Summary
FixPin does not collect or sell any personal data and has no servers of its own. Notes and screenshots are created and stored only in your browser. There are no analytics, no ads and no accounts. A report is a file that you save and send yourself — or, if you choose “Link via Google Drive”, a file saved to your own Google Drive.
What the extension stores on your device
- Notes you create: your comment, type, priority, status and reply; the page address and title; a CSS selector and a short text of the element you pointed at; window size, pixel ratio, scroll position, browser name, operating system and language (to help the developer reproduce the issue).
- Steps before a note (can be turned off): your last clicks, form-field changes and page changes on the site where you collect notes — which element was clicked and the page address. What you type is never recorded.
- Console errors (only if you enable “Console errors and full-height elements”): JavaScript errors, warnings and failed requests of the page at the moment you create a note.
- Screenshots of the area you selected, attached to each note.
- Settings (your name for signing notes, languages, screenshot format). They may be synced by your browser between your own devices if browser sync is enabled.
- A local note counter, used only to show a one-time “support the developer” reminder.
All of this stays in the browser's extension storage (IndexedDB) until you delete a note, a project or all data in the settings, or remove the extension.
Reports
When you export a report (HTML, ZIP or text), the file is created locally and saved to your computer or copied to your clipboard. You decide whom to send it to. When you open a report file you received, its contents are imported into the extension's local storage.
Link via Google Drive (optional)
Only when you choose “Link via Google Drive” and sign in to Google, FixPin requests the drive.file permission. With it the extension can access only the files it creates — it cannot see, read or change any other files on your Google Drive.
- FixPin creates a “FixPin” folder and saves the report (the same HTML file you would download) there, and turns on “anyone with the link can view” for that file. Sending the report again updates the same file.
- The link opens the page
dreamskies.dev/fixpin/view/, which loads the file directly from Google Drive in the recipient's browser. The file is not stored on or sent through dreamskies.dev servers. - You can turn link sharing off in the project menu (“Turn off the link”) or delete the file in Google Drive at any time. To revoke FixPin's access entirely, use your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps.
- FixPin does not store your Google password; the browser manages the sign-in token. The token is used only to upload, update and share report files you choose to share.
FixPin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google Drive is used only to provide the report link feature, is not transferred to anyone, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read your browsing history and works only on the tab where you invoke it.
- It does not send page content, addresses, notes or screenshots to the developer or any third party. Report files go only where you send them — including your own Google Drive if you choose a link.
- It does not use cookies, trackers or remote code.
- Your region for choosing a donation link is estimated from your system time zone locally in the browser; nothing is sent over the network.

The extension and exported reports contain links to donation pages (Patreon, YooMoney, OxaPay) and to dreamskies.dev. They open only when you click them; those websites have their own privacy policies.

FixPin не собирает, не передаёт и не продаёт персональные данные. Правки и скриншоты создаются и хранятся только в вашем браузере. У расширения нет серверов, аналитики, рекламы и аккаунтов. Отчёт — это файл, который вы сохраняете и отправляете сами.
- Правки: комментарий, тип, приоритет, статус и ответ; адрес и заголовок страницы; CSS-селектор и короткий текст выбранного элемента; размер окна, плотность пикселей, прокрутка, браузер, ОС и язык — чтобы исполнитель мог воспроизвести проблему.
- Скриншоты выбранной области, по одному к правке.
- Шаги перед правкой (отключаются): последние клики, изменения полей и переходы на сайте, где вы собираете правки, — по какому элементу кликнули и адрес страницы. То, что вы вводите, не записывается.
- Ошибки консоли — только если включено «Ошибки консоли и длинные элементы целиком»: ошибки JavaScript, предупреждения и неудачные запросы страницы в момент создания правки. Разрешение «отладчик» запрашивается только при включении этой настройки и используется только в момент снимка.
- Настройки (имя для подписи, языки, формат скриншотов); браузер может синхронизировать их между вашими устройствами.
- Локальный счётчик правок — только для разового напоминания о поддержке разработчика.
- Всё хранится в хранилище расширения (IndexedDB), пока вы не удалите правку, проект или все данные в настройках либо само расширение.
- Экспорт отчёта (HTML, ZIP, текст) создаёт файл локально; кому его отправить, решаете вы. Открытый отчёт импортируется в локальное хранилище.
- Расширение не читает историю браузера, работает только на вкладке, где вы его вызвали, не отправляет содержимое страниц, адреса, правки и снимки разработчику или третьим лицам, не использует cookies, трекеры и удалённый код.
- Доступ к конкретному сайту запрашивается только по кнопке «Показать на сайте» и отзывается в настройках расширения.
- Ссылка через Google Диск (по желанию). Только если вы выбрали «Ссылка через Google Диск» и вошли в Google, FixPin получает разрешение
drive.file: доступ только к файлам, которые создал сам, остальные файлы вашего Диска ему не видны. Отчёт (тот же HTML-файл) сохраняется в папку «FixPin» на вашем Диске с доступом «все, у кого есть ссылка»; повторная отправка обновляет тот же файл. Ссылка открывает страницу dreamskies.dev/fixpin/view/, которая читает файл с Google Диска прямо в браузере получателя — через серверы dreamskies.dev файл не проходит и там не хранится. Доступ по ссылке закрывается в меню проекта, файл удаляется на Диске, доступ FixPin к аккаунту отзывается в настройках Google-аккаунта (Безопасность → Сторонние приложения). - Использование и передача данных, полученных через Google API, соответствует Правилам использования данных пользователей сервисов Google API, включая требования Limited Use: данные Google Диска используются только для работы ссылки на отчёт, никому не передаются, не используются для рекламы и не просматриваются людьми.
- Ссылки на Patreon, ЮMoney, OxaPay и dreamskies.dev открываются только по вашему клику; у этих сайтов свои политики конфиденциальности.
